O Tama Uli: Melanesians in Western Samoa
Malama Meleisea
O Tama Uli is an historical account of Melanesian indentured labour in Western Samoa. It is based on personal accounts of men who left their homes in Melanesia to work on German plantations in Western Samoa and gives unique insights into the German regime, the “Mau” movement and the New Zealand administration there.
